What’s the difference between a tour and a tournament?

On the other hand, a tournament is like a spirited golf competition held at a single location, where you can challenge other players. Don’t worry if you don’t play golf, as plenty of activities and sightseeing adventures are planned for you too!

Our hosts are the ultimate champions of hospitality! They’re an extension of the Go Golfing family and will take care of everything, from handling your luggage to ensuring your dietary preferences are met. Plus, they’re expert entertainers who will keep you smiling and laughing throughout your golfing adventure.
What’s the process for booking a tour?
Booking a tour with us is as easy as sinking a short putt! Simply select the tour that catches your eye, fill in the booking form, or give our reservations line a call. We’ll take it from there and guide you through the booking process. Most tours require just a minimum deposit (ranging from $1,000 to $2,000 per person), and the final payment is just a few months before travel dates, and you can even pay in convenient instalments if preferred. It’s hassle-free!
Does Go Golfing arrange everything?
Absolutely! Once you land at your destination, we’ve got you covered. Need help booking your flights and travel insurance? We have trusted travel agents who can assist. Or, if you prefer to make your own travel arrangements to take advantage of your frequent flyer points etc., we’ll leave that with you. Once you arrive at the destination, we will take care of the rest, ensuring your golfing adventure is smooth sailing from start to finish!
Are the golf courses suitable for players of all skill levels?
Definitely! We’ll play a range of golf courses that cater to golfers of all skill levels at each destination. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a beginner just starting out, there’s a course that will suit your game. From challenging layouts that will put your skills to the test to more forgiving fairways that offer a relaxed playing experience, we play them all. What type of accommodations can I expect during the tour?

Are there any non-golfing activities or attractions available during the tour?
While golf takes centre stage, our tours are not just about birdies and bogeys. Prepare for a medley of excitement and laughter as you dive into a smorgasbord of activities. Cook up a storm in cooking classes, where you’ll unlock the secrets of local cuisine (and hopefully avoid setting off any fire alarms!). Summon your inner sumo wrestler and feel the thunderous excitement as you step into the ring. Cruise down the majestic Nile River, feeling like Cleopatra herself or cuddle a cheetah. Is transportation provided to and from the golf courses?
Absolutely! We’ve got your transportation needs covered from the moment you touch down at the designated airport until it’s time to bid farewell (cue the tears!). No need to worry about navigating the roads or hailing taxis – we’ve got it all sorted. Sit back, relax, and let us whisk you away to the golf courses in comfort and style. And when it’s time to depart, we’ll be there to ensure a smooth and hassle-free journey back to the airport. Just remember to pack those tissues because saying goodbye is never easy.
What is the typical group size for the Tours or Tournaments?
We believe in creating a boutique and inclusive experience for all travellers on tour. Therefore, our tours typically have a group size ranging from 20 to 35 people, ensuring a cozy and personalised atmosphere. However, when it comes to tournaments, the more, the merrier! Gather together with fellow golf enthusiasts and let the competitive energy and festive vibes elevate the tournament experience.
Are caddies or golf carts included in the tour package?
Shared motorised golf carts are always included wherever possible on all our golf tours. In some destinations, Caddies are also included. This will be noted on the brochure and itinerary.
Are there any additional fees or charges not included in the tour price?
If you or your group wishes to part-take in any optional extra activities, this will be at your own cost. All inclusions are listed on the brochure for your convenience.
Do many people travel alone?
Absolutely! In fact, up to 28% of our travellers are single, we even have what we affectionately refer to as our Solo Travellers Club for singles looking to room share. Out of interest, there have been 17 marriages from couples who met on tour, and countless friendships have been made! You’ll be joining a fantastic community of golf travellers, adventure seekers and fun lovers!
Are there any restrictions or requirements regarding golf handicaps for certain courses or tournaments?
There are no particular handicap restrictions or requirements. If you have an affiliation with a golf association that provides a record of your playing history (e.g. Golflink, Golf.co.nz etc.), we request that you provide this information to us before the tour/tournament. If you don’t have an official handicap, it’s okay! Our team can work out a handicap for you (we will just need you to provide 3 signed scorecards for us).
Can I extend my stay the tour itinerary?
Absolutely! At Go Golfing, we understand that each traveller has unique preferences and may want to extend their stay. That’s why we have a dedicated Play and Stay division that specialises in creating tailor-made experiences just for you. Whether you want to extend your trip before or after the tour, explore additional destinations, or add specific activities to your itinerary, our team is here to assist you.
