Experienced tour host, Wally, first met Go Golfing founder, Peter McCarthy, in the early days of the Gold Coast World Masters Golf Championship - the event that paved the way to Go Golfing's success.
It was a dream of his to become a tour host upon retiring from his full-time job a few years back. Well, he has now hosted more than 20 tours and loves it! He is now looking forward to meeting you and welcoming the challenges that each new golf course brings ๐
Wally's welcome message to you.

I look forward to meeting you and getting to know you, on what's sure to be an incredible adventure. To help us connect, here's a brief background about me ๐ค.
What do you love about hosting?
The ability to travel to some of the world's most exciting courses with a group of fellow travelers ticks all the boxes for me. I really enjoy meeting new people and discovering new places, especially places with memorable attractions, like a historical site or signature golf course.
Add to this the experience of local culture, food, and places of interest - what else could you ask for? ๐
Countries you have visited & favourite destinations?
My personal travels have taken me to Thailand, China, Bali, and in the US - Nashville, Vegas, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Some favourites in Europe include Italy, Greece, and the United Kingdom. New Zealand was also a memorable trip - it was my first time skiing and visiting Queenstown.
I've also hosted golf tours to Hawaii, Canada, Vietnam, South Africa, New Zealand, China, Japan, and recently Bavaria.
For me, Vietnam and Italy have been real highlights so far. Vietnam for its mix of French and Asian cuisines, lovely beaches, and friendly people made it such an enjoyable destination. Italy's history, friendly people, and great food & wine make me want to go back time and time again.
Most memorable golf courses?
It's hard to pick a favourite between Barnbougle Lost Farm in Tasmania and the incredible Jack's Point at Queenstown. To say that the weather conditions can change Jack's Point from a picture postcard to a brutal battle is an understatement, but well worth the challenge.
The Grange, home of LIV Golf Adelaide, is also on the list, for its layout and presentation. We played there the week before the Australian Women's PGA and it was in pristine condition. It certainly challenged my handicap of 16.
